Allison DeHonney has 20 years of professional service in key areas of Executive leadership, Project Management and Business Development.
She has spearheaded four business endeavors; the latest of which is Urban Fruits & Veggies LLC. & Buffalo Go Green Inc. which is a non-profit organization. Urban Fruits & Veggies (UFV) has been in operation for four years and is involved in several projects throughout the city of Buffalo. UFV has an urban farm, mobile produce market that services food desert areas and under served communities bringing access to healthy fruits & vegetables and nutrition education. UFV sells at local farmers markets weekly from June to October, has a corporate wellness division where we embed our services into local companies and universities corporate wellness programs, programming for elementary and high school students where we teach nutrition education and farming. Contracts with the City of Buffalo Parks & Recreations Department
Prior to running these two entities Allison:
• Worked as an Account Executive for three companies growing books of businesses, developing and maintaining client relations.
• Opened and ran an Allstate Insurance Agency & a Collections & Finance Agency
• Currently runs a Not-for-Profit agency and a for profit company
Allison holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Business Management both from Medaille College. Currently a graduate candidate: Certified Plant Based Chef & Culinary Rx. from Rouxbe Cooking School October 2018.
Major Projects:
-Bailey Green Project – Urban Fruits & Veggies is one of the stakeholders in the project that was entered into the 53rd Annual (International) “Making Cities More Livable Design Competition” held in Rome Italy on June 13, 2016 where we took 2nd place. The Bailey Green Project is a neighborhood revitalization project taking place on the east side of Buffalo, NY. Urban Fruits & Veggies will construct two hydroponic greenhouses.
