Hunger doesn’t take a vacation so neither do we! Providing USDA meals to children 365 days a year is the number one goal for Milele Kennedy. Manager of Indy Parks Food Programs, she has worked with the Indianapolis Department of Parks and Recreation since 2005 creating partnerships with organizations to feed hungry youth in Marion County, Indiana over 400,000 meals per year. An Afterschool Alliance Ambassador Emeritus, Milele is a member several youth serving organizations including the National Afterschool Association, David P. Weikart Center for Youth Program Quality and the National CACFP Sponsors Association. She is a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and received two Mayor's Performance Awards for contributing to performance improvements, creating efficiency, providing cost savings and enhancing services to the taxpayers on behalf of the City of Indianapolis. A native of Indianapolis, she enjoys spending time with her adult children and exploring Indiana with her two dogs.
