Hannah Leighton is the Research and Evaluation Manager at Farm to Institution New England. In this role, Hannah oversees FINE’s metrics project, a data-driven project designed to create a snapshot of New England’s farm to institution supply chain. She also manages FINE'e evaluation work. In addition to her work at FINE, she consults on various farm to school projects and for an ag tech start up working to digitize food supply chains.
She has a Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing from the New School University and a Master’s degree in Sustainability Science with a concentration in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Prior to returning to graduate school, Hannah spent a decade writing about food, working in hospitality, and farming on vegetable and small-scale livestock farms across the country.
