Jenna Segal currently lives in Chicago, Illinois, serving as the Midwest Farm to School Regional Lead for the USDA’s Office of Community Food Systems. After receiving a Masters of Public Health in Nutrition from UC Berkeley 2014, Jenna has continued to work with numerous school districts, educational institutions, non-profits and state agencies to develop institutional support for farm to school activities. In her role at the USDA, she supports and promotes Farm to School efforts, building on her of experiences working with farmers, agricultural communities, and need-based populations both nationally as well as internationally to create impactful work. She has over a decade of experience supporting community food systems, and holds a Masters of Public Health in Nutrition from University of California-Berkeley, and has a BA in Ecological Determinants of Health from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec.
