Erin is a Senior Planner with Santa Fe County and has worked in the northern New Mexico food community in a variety of ways over the past 8 years. Erin was the co-owner of her family farm, Ancients Waters Farm, for 5 years. During this time, she worked as an intern Santa Fe Food Policy Council, then served as the coordinator for over 2 years. She was later appointed to the Food Policy Council as a representative for Santa Fe County in 2015 and has served in that capacity to the present. Erin was also responsible for creating the Agriculture and Ranching Implementation Plan for Santa Fe County and has worked to coordinate agricultural initiatives such as the AgriGate of Santa Fe County which is an online clearinghouse of agricultural information designed to cultivate connections, access to food and networking opportunities in the local food community. Erin has also managed several agricultural demonstration projects showcasing a diversity of agricultural uses on County owned property including a community garden at a senior services facility and an the design and planning for an orchard and edible landscape at a County open space facility. She is currently coordinating with the County Extension Office on a vineyard design and garden. She also serves at the Transfer of Development Rights (TDR) Program manager, which is a program that provides property owners an option and incentives for conserving lands with public benefits, including agricultural land. Erin sincerely loves seeing relationships develop and progress made through connections in the regional food community and looks forward to a resilient and vital food future for New Mexico!
