Viola Cunningham is proudly employed by the City of Albuquerque, Department of Finance and Administrative Services, Purchasing Division for eighteen years. She has served in management of the division for twelve of those years in various capacities. The City makes a great effort to conduct whenever possible and feasible business with our local suppliers of goods and services. The City is looking for opportunities that exist with our current food sourcing how best to work with local growers and purveyors.

Viola has been involved in a myriad of procurement organizations and is a current member of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing and the New Mexico Public Procurement Association.
She earned a Bachelors of Business Administration with a concentration in Management from the University of Texas at El Paso. She held her certificate as a Certified Public Professional Buyer for ten years. She has service on many boards and committees throughout her career.

Previous employers have been the City of El Paso, Rice Council of America, and University of Texas - El Paso. Systemic changes have been a part of making a career interesting and shining a light on what can be done better and more efficiently.
