Terreca Bates-Wells is the Director of Special Projects at Capitol City Produce. She received her MBA from Southern University and A&M College, Baton Rouge, LA, in 2013. Currently, she oversees Capitol City Produce’s Customer Service Department, Safe Quality Foods Program and Local Farm Initiative. As the facilitator of the Local Farm Initiative, which she implemented in 2016, Terreca has added over 5 new farms to the Capitol City Produce network. Through her efforts there are a total of 12 active farms with local spending exceeding over $1 million dollars, in 2018. Terreca is passionate about business and supporting entrepreneurs. She enjoys spending time with her husband and toddler son (just turned one!), reading, culinary excursions, listening to motivational speakers and traveling. Her ultimate goals are to have a positive impact on all she encounters as well as soon becoming a successful entrepreneur.
