Brian is executive director of the Initiative for Food and AgriCultural Transformation (InFACT) at The Ohio State University, a transdisciplinary program addressing food security and agricultural resilience throughout Ohio and beyond. Previously, Brian served as executive director of the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture (PASA), a nationally recognized organization, and The William J. Gould Associates, which operates Gould Farm, a 700-acre sustainable farm and mental health treatment facility in the Berkshire Hills of Western Massachusetts. He has also served as president of the Pennsylvania State Council of Farm Organizations, as co-chair of the Food Systems Integrity Committee of the National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition, and sits on the advisory board of the Resnick Center for Food Law and Policy at the UCLA School of Law. Brian holds two masters’ degrees, from Harvard University (Theological Studies) and the Isenberg School of Management (Business Administration) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
