Alexa Arnold
FoodCorps
Deputy Director of Strategy and Partnerships
Brooklyn, New York
Originally hailing from the midwest and south, Alexa is driven by her passion for food, the people who produce it, and the places where it’s grown. Prior to joining FoodCorps, Alexa managed Kentucky’s largest farmers market and built networks throughout the Central Appalachian region that connected schools, institutions, communities, and farmers. After three years working in development at FoodCorps, she started tackling the supply side of school food through FoodCorps’ partnership with the Urban School Food Alliance, a coalition of some of our nation’s largest school districts who are using their combined purchasing power to improve the health, quality, sustainability and financial health of school meals. Now as the Deputy Director of Strategy & Partnerships, Alexa is building on those partnerships to guide FoodCorps in improving school meals.
