Carol Smathers, MS, MPH, is an Extension Field Specialist and Assistant Professor at Ohio State University. She conducts research and programming on community-level health promotion and obesity prevention interventions. She co-chairs an obesity prevention coalition and co-leads a state-level 4-H Youth Development healthy living advocate program. As director of Ohio Farm to School, she provides resources for schools and other groups seeking to procure, serve, and teach about local foods.
