Lindsey Day Farnsworth is a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Wisconsin – Madison Center for Integrated Agricultural Systems. She has over a decade of experience conducting applied and participatory research and evaluation on a range of food systems policy and planning issues including community and regional food distribution, access, financing, and the development of values-based food supply chains. She is active in several projects and programs with the City of Madison including the Food Policy Council, the Healthy Retail Access Program, and the Public Market Development Committee. She also serves on the board of Community Groundworks, a local nonprofit that connects people with local food and nature through hands-on learning. Lindsey holds a PhD from the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies, University of Wisconsin-Madison; an M.S. in Urban and Regional Planning, UW-Madison; and a B.A. in Sociology and Latin American Studies, Brandeis University.
