Elisa is the Executive Director for the New Orleans Food Policy Advisory Committee (FPAC). With 12 years experience, Elisa works to shape public policy to improve equity, opportunity, and collaboration in our local food system by connecting organizations, businesses and individuals to strengthen the network, advocate for sound food policy, and provide evidence-based strategies to increase the availability of fresh, healthy food in New Orleans. Elisa serves as liaison to policymakers through FPAC’s role as the advisory body to the City Council in matters of food and agriculture. She is also on the Board of Directors for Southern Sustainable Agriculture Working Group, working to expand opportunities for small and mid-sized family farms in the South.
