Community Impact Director
816 S. Figueroa St. Los Angeles, California
Ana-Alicia holds an undergraduate and graduate degree in public health with an emphasis in community health. Since graduating from college she has worked on various programs related to breastfeeding, diabetes, and heart disease, however, the common theme throughout her work has been food. She has seen the crucial role healthy, nutritious foods plays in improving health outcomes across our lifespan and the devastating impact lack of access can have on one's health. In her current position with the American Heart Association's, Los Angeles Division, she serves as the lead on their food access priority. In this role, she aims to contribute to the creation of a more equitable food environment in LA County, ensuring access to fresh, healthy and affordable foods no matter who and where you are by developing and supporting solutions and efforts which are sustainable across diverse communities.
